Knitting with Jazzyfaz

Hello!!!

:D  Started the Black Lamb's Pride Poncho.  I knit about 6 ridges last night.  A long long way to go!  In the end, I think she'll like it.  I bot some Toy and Brazillia today online for my mother's scarf that she wants.  Hopefully that will come in soon.  Then I can start that and she can leave me alone about it.

Monday, Monday

:(  Down in the Dumps today!  After a long weekend, it sucks to come back to work.

I started on the black poncho, but I don't like how it is coming out.  Something doesn't feel right.  I might change yarns that I am working with.

My mother wants another scarf for her birthday which is Dec. 24th.  I told her not to pressure me with another project, but we'll see.

Please tell me why we eat so much food on Thanksgiving.  I am stilll so stuffed I need such a nap right now!

YEAH!!

:D  I finished the second panel of the sage green poncho!!!  I just have to sew together and then fringe.  Then I can start on the black Lamb's Pride poncho.

Last night I went to my nephew's basketball game.  He is 11 yrs. old.  They won 27-25.  What a great game!  My nephew is a sports fanatic.  He plays baseball, soccer (indoor and outdoor) and basketball!

Monday, Monday

 I am always so sad when Monday comes around, the weekend has come and gone again.

I am almost done with the second panel of the sage green Patons Decor poncho.  Then just sew it together and 1 birthday gift done.  Then I have to start on the 2nd poncho for Christmas.  On Thursday night at my LYS, I bought this beautiful blue Nature's Wool yarn to make felted slippers.  I cannot wait to start on those.

My mother's birthday is Christmas Eve, so if I finish the second poncho I will make the slippers for her.

TGIF

:D  Last night I went to the LYS to knit with some friends and I finished one panel of the poncho I am working on.  I also bot some beautiful blue wool to make felted slippers out of.  Everytime I am in the yarn store I end up buying something.  It is very dangerous.  My stash is becoming bigger than my room that I keep it in!

I woke up at 4:30 a.m. today because I had a nightmare, so that was it I up for the duration and so I knit.  and knit.  and knit. until 7:00 a.m.  I am soo ready for a nap!

Knitting away

  So, today I got my copy of SNB Nation.  I am so excited!  I glanced through and saw some great stuff in it.  I also got Knit Wit, which has great stuff in it as well.  Tonight I go to my LYS to knit away with friends.

I have adopted two soldiers overseas.  I wrote them both letters and am gathering stuff to send to them as care packages.  Hopefully they get their packages by Christmas!

Good Day

:D  So, last night I so wanted to knit, I studied for an hour and then I promptly fell asleep until 7:00 this a.m.  I was so upset because I fell asleep, but glad because I really needed it.

Tonight I have the knitting meetup and tomorrow night I meet at the LYS and I will be able to knit to my heart's content.

At Work

:(  Ever have one of those days when you just want to stay home and in bed?  Today is one of those days.

I made great progress in the Sage green poncho for my cousin's birthday.  It looks great. (I think).  I think when I start to make progress on something I do not want to stop...I just want to keep knitting.  Is that obsessive or what?

So, now I am at work and not wanting to be here and can't wait to go home tonight and knit some more.

I bot the Stitch n Bitch Nation book from Amazon.com and can't wait to get it!

Done, Done, Done

:P  So, I finished the Black seed stitch scarf for my cousin!!!  It looks great and I only messed up two - three times!  I am so excited.  I am now working on a poncho for another cousin's birthday.  I got a good start to it yesterday!

Friday night I went to a home and garden demonstration -- I bot a few candles, not much else -  it was very expensive.

Saturday night I volunteered at Benefest which is a black tie affair for Special Olympics.  I had alot of fun.

Down under today

:(  Feeling down today.  Thanks to those who welcomed me yesterday!

Last night I went to my knitting club, but because I was not there last Thursday, I did not know that there wasn't a meeting last night.  So, I was a little bummed about that.  But, I went home and got very ambitious and so I finished a baby scarf that I had started and then worked on the seed stitch scarf and got that 3/4's of the way done.  I was happy about the progress on that.  I should get that finished this weekend.

I have to go to one of those home demonstrations tonight.  Sooo exciting!

New Blog

  I just started this blog.  Not sure that I am doing this correctly but am trying.  Tonight I have my Knitting Club at R.A. Yarns in Warwick.  I love to go on Thursdays!  It is open knitting and it used to be just 5 of us but now that the colder weather is here there are 20 of us.  The store is just too small.  I am working on a black seed stitch scarf for my cousin Cheryl.  It will match her purple and black sweater.  I can't wait for it to be finished.  I have to concentrate too hard when I work on it.
