Wednesday

:D  Guess what.......I FINALLY got the yarn in for my mother's scarf that she has been dying for!  I called her and told her I got it in and she said to me good now I don't want you working on anything else except that!

I started laughing!  because you know...I have got to work on my sweater!

MONDAY

So, we got about 10 inches of snow that took me 2 hours to shovel so that I could get to work.  That blew big time!

My cousin loved the black poncho!  I was excited that she loved it so much!  I picked out the yarn for my next project...blue, King Tut Cotton for a sweater.  My first!

We'll see what happens.

Monday

I finished the black poncho on Saturday!  I fringed with the wool and I added some black/gold lash.  It looks fantastic.  I have to get a digital camera so that I can put these pictures on here!

I also knit a scarf for my mom.  (not the one she wanted, but a nice scarf it is)  I am still awaiting my order from Royal Yarns!

I also made on Sunday 2 no-sew throws for a couple babies in the family.  I just have to wrap some gifts and then I can do nothing until the end of the week!

Prince Spaghetti Day!

:D  Good Old Wednesday!  Still plugging along on the second panel of the black poncho.  I cannot wait to be finished.  I am not doing another poncho for a long long time!  I still have not gotten the yarn in for my mother's scarf.  I called the company and they have no idea when it will be in.

Tomorrow I go Christmas Shopping.  Hopefully I can finish it all in one day.

No title needed

I cannot believe that it is the 13th of December already.  Time is sure flying.  I knit up a quick tie scarf Saturday night for a friend to give someone for Christmas.  It only took me an hour.

I am halfway done with the second panel of the black poncho.  I think that is about it.  My mom is still upset that the yarn I ordered for the scarf she wanted is still on backorder.  She is NEVER going to get it for Christmas.

FRIDAY!!!

:D  I am so happy that it is Friday!  This has been the week from hell.  (except for last night when I went to my office Christmas party)  That was fun!

I started working on the second panel for the black poncho.  I have decided that when I fringe it I will fringe with the wool and some lash.  I think that will look nice.  I can't wait to finish it though.

Then I have to work on some no-sew throws for some babies in the family.

Later!

Scarf Central

  I finished one scarf last night.  My Aunt called from Florida and decided she wanted me to make her a scarf.  This is what she said:

Thin, lays flat, black with silver running through it, not furry or lashy.  I took me a good 4 days to find just the right yarn and I bot it last night.  It took me two hours and it was done, fringe and all.

So, one more scarf to go, but the yarn is on backorder so that will probably not get done until AFTER Christmas.  And that means that tonight I can start on the second panel of the black poncho.

1st Panel Done!!

So, I got the first panel done last night!!! I am so happy!  One more to go, then two scarves to make and my Christmas is complete.  I put so much pressure on myself to get gifts done.  I just want to relax and knit at a regular pace.

Snow, Snow, Snow

I really really hate snow.  It just started to snow here in RI.  I can't stand the snow.  I don't think there is anything nice about it!

I gave my cousin the sage green poncho yesterday and it got applause by the whole family.  Everyone like it alot.  That made me very happy.  Then, as she was putting it back in the gift bag her nail pulled some of it, which I then had to try and fix right away.  I did but it kind of pissed me off.

Isn't that terrible?

TGIF

:D  I went to my LYS last night and figured I would work on the black poncho and probably get alot done.  Instead I learned how to crochet.  I have to tell you, I prefer kniting much more.  Crocheting is hard.  With the yarn wound all over the fingers and you have to keep the tension just so... give me a pair of sticks anyday of the week and I'm happy.

Thursday

:D  Today is Thursday!!! Yeah!! I love Thursdays because tonight is the night that I go to my LYS and knit away with my fellow knitters!  We have a blast.  I always end up buying yarn every Thursday whether I need it or not.  I know I will get alot done on the black poncho tonight.

Misc

:)  I cannot believe that it is December 1st already.  This year has just flown by.  Although everyone says that about every year, this year it just seems it even more.  I have knit a few scarves and shawls to give to people that I work closely with as gifts.  I've made some ponchos as gifts as well.  I still have to do the bulk of my shopping yet.  I dread the mall at this time of year.  Everyone seems to be so mean and non-caring!  I do take one day off from work and my mother and I do all of our shopping on that day.  I believe it is easier to go during the day than at night.

I knit a little more of the black poncho.  I just cannot seem to get into knitting it yet.  Maybe because I just finished one and have 50 other projects that I would like to do instead!
