Monday Monday...
All in all we ended up with 23 inches of snow! Of course who had to shovel the 8 foot drifts in front of the house so I could get to the car? ME!!!!!
I hardly did any knitting over the weekend. I knit a few rows of the Alpaca scarf and that was it.
It's Friday, It's Friday
:D It's Friday! Except that it is 10 degrees outside and the weather man is predicting 6-12 inches of lovely white stuff tomorrow night! Can you see my fake grin from there?
Last night I went to my LYS and continued on with my sweater until I started talking animatedly and to my utter surprise guess what happened....my work fell off the needles again!!!!!!! Needless to say I dropped everything and went outside to have a cigarette and calm down before I started swearing up a storm again.
I also bought another skein of the Catalina baby alpaca. mmmmmmmm,
TGIT
8) Only one more work day until the weekend! Yeah! It snowed again last night! Only 2 inches but still... It is also LYS night! I love Thursday nights!
Last night I started a new scarf called Elaine's scarf from The Purl Stitch Book. The pattern is a mistake rib...really nice. I am using my Black, 100% Baby Alpaca yarn by Catalina ....yummy! I knit about 1 and 1/2 feet last night. I can't wait to finish it.
Finished!!!
Yeah!!! I finally finished the 3x3 rib scarf for my friend Gina! I can't wait for her to see it. It came out really nice. I then decided to take pictures of what I have finished within the last month.
I Have not decided what to work on next (besides my sweater). I have so much yarn in my stash and I keep buying more every time I go into the yarn store. Oh... I bought some beautiful 100% Baby Alpaca in a black that is sooooo soft, I forgot about that. What can I make with that? Hmmmmm.....
On the weather front it is still so cold here. I did not want to get out of bed this morning!
?????????
I am not sure what happened last week to my Blog, but I had to change all kinds of stuff to it to get it working again.
Worked alot more on the 3x3 rib -- winter blue, Lamb's Pride scarf for my friend Gina. It's coming along, 1 more skein to go. Not much else going on. I am saving working on my sweater for class nights at the LYS.
On the weather front it is a nice balmy 5 degrees outside! Cold as anything, the wind chill is 20 below zero. But I guess that's not as bad as the city of Embarrass, MN where it is 54 degrees below zero! Can you imagine?
What is Going on?
I don't know what happened to my Blog...all of a sudden today all my entries have disappeared. I am not sure where they went.
Last night I went to the LYS and I got my bamboo needles and went to work on my sweater. I started it and finished 8 rows. This is going to take me forever to do.
Thursday!
:D I love Thursdays! Tonight is the night I go hang out at the LYS to knit. I love these get-togethers. I have such a great time. I always end up spending money on something. Tonight I have to buy some circular needles size 6 and 8. I like the bamboo ones. I need the circulars because I have the regular needles of those sizes in metal and I have decided that I am going to work on my sweater tonight (trying again!) and I want to work on bamboo. This way I won't have another problem with my work sliding off the needles.
On another note, I read other peoples knitting blogs and these people seem to have much more to talk about on their blogs. I must be a very boring person or just not a gifted writer. What do you think?

So, We did indeed get roughly 4 inches of heavy white stuff (because it has been raining steadily on top of the snow). And of course who do you think does the shoveling....ME!
Anyway, I worked more on the Blue Lamb's Pride scarf last night...1/2 way into second skein, 1 1/2 more to go.
MORE SNOW!
I cannot believe that they are predicting another 2-4 inches of the white stuff! I know that is nothing compared to other states, but for RI -- I can't take it.
Not much new going on in the knitting front. Still working on the Blue Lamb's Pride scarf. Haven't attampted another try at the sweater yet. I will probably start that up again Thursday night at the LYS meetup.
Finished!
Yesterday I started on my mother's scarf, made with Toy and Brazilia. It was my first attempt at a scarf knit on the bias. I finished it last night! I was so excited. I love the way it came out and so did she. Now she can't bug me anymore for this scarf!
I definately will knit more on the bias. It was easier than I thought.
I am so upset
O.K. so last night I am at my LYS andI am knitting on my sweater. I am eight rows into it..(I know only 8 rows, but...) when the knitting comes off the needles. I fixed it but I must have missed a stitch because there was a big hole. I didn't want to rip the yarn because it is Egyptian Cotton so I tore it all out.
Not a very happy camper, because it took me 2 hours to do eight rows!
Let It Snow.......
So, we got about 5 inches of the disgusting white powder out there and it just started raining...makes for a nice commute home! You know, I really hate, hate, hate the snow. I hate shoveling it, I hate driving in it, I have other people who drive in it!
On a good note, I am 1/3rd done with the scarf for my friend Gina. It is Lamb's Pride Bulky in a nice Winter Blue.

I have not done anything on my sweater. I just cannot get into it. I am not sure why!
I have worked on a scarf for a friend of mine that I forgot to work on. She has been asking me for 2 months now and I am only halfway there. I think I will finish that first and then work on the sweater.
