VACATION HERE I COME!!!

I got a gift from my SP4 yesterday, a nice bath fizz ball (which I will enjoy very much!) and a nice knitted doily!  Thank you so much SP4!  I can't show you because I cannot figure out how to get pictures on here.  Someday...

I am still working on the socks, they are coming along very nicely if I must say.

I will not be posting anything until March 2nd.  I will be in Florida until then so I will talk to you guys at that time!

Hump Day

I have not been doing too much on the knitting front.  I have been making dish clothes for my mother because she LOVES them.  That's about it.  Tonight I have a knitting meetup at Brewed Awakenings here in Providence.

The best is -- one week from today I will be in Florida!

Monday, Monday

I made my first hat over the weekend!  It came out very nice!  I am also still working on my socks.  Slow going, but going.  Nothing new to report on the sweater.

I have a new date for my test, April 1st.  Can you beat that?

TGIF

I am learning how to make a sock!  It is coming along quite nicely after a few road blocks!  I ripped the thing out a few times, but am plugging along nicely!

I cannot wait to go home and work on it some more.  It takes a while to get comfortable working with the DPNs.  The yarn is Frog Tree, 100% baby alpaca sock yarn.  It is a nice purple.

I am also working on a hat from a pattern I got in one of the magazines.  I cannot remember the name of the pattern but it is made with Tahki Baby and on number 15 needles.  Works up very quickly.  I did not work on my sweater last night.  I was too busy with the socks.

I hope everyone has a great weekend and I'll talk to you Monday!

Thursday -- LYS Night!

I love Thursdays!

I have a meeting first.  I am the Chair for the Special Olympics RI Fashion Show.  I have been doing this for 7 - 8 years now, and I absolutely love it!  This year our theme is "The Greatest Show On Earth"!

Then I get to go to class!  I am going to continue on with my sweater.  I found a pattern for a hat that I want to make -- so I am going to try to find some yarn that I can use.  I also found a sock pattern that I want to try!  DPNs  --  ewwwww!  I don't know if I will be able to do this!

I sent my SP4 her first gift, I hope she likes it!

O.K. -- I am trying to get back on track.  I start studying again on Monday for the big test.  I have to wait 30 days to take it again.  Enough said on that.

I was going through my stash last night and I have soooo much yarn and soooo many things I want to make that I don't know where to begin.  I am still working on my sweater, but I only knit 2-3 rows at a time.  (This thing is going to take me forever to make!)  I want to learn how to make socks. I want to make felted slippers.  My cousin would like me to make a Spring poncho for her 11 month old daughter (if anyone has a pattern for that please let me know).

The weatherman says it is going to snow again tomorrow -- another 4-7 inches.  My front yard is going to have snow until June!

Test

Thank you for the warm thoughts and wishes for my exam!  I did not pass though.  I missed it by 10 questions.  I just cannot take exams.  I work myself up so much!

I will be taking it 1 more time though.

Nothing else on the knitting front.  I drank my self into a stupor all weekend!

Hump Day

I haven't really knit too much lately.  I have been studying every night for a huge test that I have to take for work on Friday.  It is called the Series 7 exam and it will turn me from a secretary to a registered representative.  I only need a 70 to pass, so anyone reading this please, please, please say a prayer for me!  I really need it.

I just want Friday to be over so I can get back into the groove.
