Knitting with Jazzyfaz

Easter Monday

I hope everyone had a nice Holiday!

I finally started my second sock.  I have about 2 inches of it on needles.  I also went through my stash yesterday and oh boy....do I have a stash!  I cannot believe how much yarn I have.  I am vowing here and now that I will NOT buy any more yarn until at least half of my stash is gone!

Let's see if I can keep that promise!

Not much going on knitting wise.  I haven't really done anything in the last week.  Just been studying and getting ready for the fashion show.

I hope everyone has a nice Easter!  I'll hopefully have something to write about next week!

1st Sock Done!!!

I finished my first sock!!!!!  I am so excited.  It took me a long time but the outcome was fantastic.  Now on to the matching one!

I got a gift from my SP.  A skein of Bamboo in a beautiful purple color and a shawl pattern to make it with.  Thank you so much SP!  You made me day yesterday.

Last night I went to a club.  I never do that.  I went to hear a band play.  "Dirty Deeds" is the name of the band.  They are a tribute band to AC/DC.  I reverted back to my high school days!  They were fantastic.

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Hello

I have been dog sitting for one of the guys I work for.  I am wiped out!  I am not used to having a dog around the house.  Don't get me wrong I am so an animal lover, but when you don't have them around all the time, it is hard.

Still working on the socks.  I WILL get them done, I WILL get them done!

LYS

 Last night I went to my LYS for my open knitting class and I found out that they are closing the store at the end of March!!!!!  I am so upset.  But not that upset where I spent $98 on yarn that was 30-40% off.

I also figured out the heel turn and having accomplished that task am working fast and furious on the socks!  Very happy about that!

It is snowing again here in RI.  We are expecting 1-4 inches tonight and then another 2-3 inches tomorrow!  We are going to have snow in our yard until August!

Happy Weekend

Hump Day

I cannot believe how cold it is out there today!  With the wind chill it is -3 degrees.

I am feeling much better lately, but I haven't done any knitting in a while.  I started to sew up the poncho and had to stop.

I have been working alot on the Special Olympics RI Fashion Show.  I Chair the event.  We have between 750 - 800 women every year who come to the event.  This year the theme is "The Greatest Show On Earth".  That has been the main thing I have been working on and will be until April 7th.

Monday

Sorry I haven't blogged in a while.  I have been sick.  I think it is bronchitis, but not sure!

I have been knitting a poncho for my cousin's 10 month old.  I just have to sew it together and fringe and voila!  It is so cute.  Stilll working on the socks, having trouble with the turn, but I will perservere and get it done!  I have not touched the sweater I started.  I think I only have 8 rows done.  Long, long, long way to go.  I am also looking for the perfect yarn to make Clapotis with!

More snow expected this week.  Will it ever stop?

Back from Vacation

Hello Everyone!!!

I'm back!!!  Had a great time, but it is sooooo cold back here.  I came back to 16 inches of snow.  (2 storms while I was away)  I really did not knit while I was away, I took needles and yarn but they stayed in the luggage.

Ate and drank my way thru EPCOT!  What fun that was.

More later.
