I started work on the baby blanket and have finished the squares in one color. Only 4 more to go! They knit up very quickly as it is only 20 st across and 29 rows.
Not much else going on right now. I stopped working on the Luxe Top and Topper to work on the blanket.

My cousin called me yesterday to tell me that she received a call from the agency that she is going through to adopt a baby and they told her that she would get a call in the middle of May to let her know about her new Chinese baby!
That means that I have got to get cracking on the baby blanket that I plan on making for her! I found a pattern in one of the Debby Bliss baby books and I am going to make it out of Baby Cashmerino!

I got my last gifts from my secret pal! I received sock yarn and a book called Not Just Socks! I am so happy because I wanted that book and haven't had a chance to purchase it yet.
My Luxe Top is coming along nicely. I had to rip it out, but started again and it's coming along great!

New Project

I have started the Luxe Top and Topper from the latest issue of Creative Magazine. I am making it in Zen. This knits up so quickly it's amazing. I am already almost done with the back and I just started Thursday nite at knitting.
The weather is finally getting nice. This weekend was beautiful and today is in the 70's! Wednesday is supposed to 78 here in RI.
On another note, I don't understand what is going on around the country. On Saturday night one of Providence's finest was shot and killed with his own gun right in the police station! Not too long ago there was that shooting in the courthouse in I think it was South Carolina. Although I am not sure of the state. But the point being, what is happening?

Knitting Class

So I went the the knitting class at the LYS last night. Let me explain what happened.
They has a big store in Warwick and just opened a small store in Smithfield. They had to get out of the big store (why I do not know) and moved everything to the small store.
Last night I went to Smithfield to the store and boy is it small!!! There is barely enough room to move around. But I just found out that they signed a lease for a bigger place RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER FROM MY HOUSE!!!!!
Isn't that exciting. I can walk there!
I started a new project last night. Do you know I cannot remember the name of it. I got it out of the new Creative Knitting Mag and I am making it in Zen. I'll tell you more about it next week.
I have a busy weekend coming up, so probably not much knitting.

I was very ambitious last night. I finally finished the sock! It feels so good to have finished. Then In my fit of ambition...I made a poncho for a one year old. From start to finish including fringe! I could not believe how much I got done last night.
On the Fashion Show front...Preliminary numbers indicate that we raised $40,000 from our show! That made me very very happy!
Tonight I go back to the new LYS for class. I cannot wait. I haven't seen these people in two weeks.

I have 5 more rows and I will be done with the second sock!!!!! I am so excited and so is my cousin who I am making them for!
I received a package in the mail today from Ram Wools. It is some Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino yarn. I have some peach and green and yellow and pink to make a baby blanket for one of my cousins who is adopting a baby girl from China. I cannot wait to start on it.

Fashion Show

The Fashion Show went very well! I am very pleased with the turnout (740 people)! I will have final numbers next week, but I believe we surpassed last year!
YEAH!
Knitting News: I am back to working on my second sock! I knit about 5 more inches of it last night and am pleased with the progress. Tonight I hope to get to at least the turn.

I have been so busy with the Fashion Show that I have had absolutely no time to knit at all! The show is this Thursday and I cannot wait for it to be over so I can go back to knitting! I am very behind on my sock and I want to finish so bad!
