Knitting with Jazzyfaz

I finished the Blue Heron scarf last night.  My mother decided she wants it, but I told her that I very rarely keep anything for myself and I do want this one.

I won't be around next week.  I will be at Bryant University for a cram course for the Series 7 exam that I have to take for work.  I go to the class all next week and then take the exam on Monday the 8th.  Please say lots of prayers for me.  I really want to pass this test this time around.  It is a 7 1/2 hour exam.  I booked a hot stone massage for that evening after the exam to relax me.

I am going to try to finish the Luxe Top and Topper that I started to make before I had to finish the baby blanket for my cousin.  By the way....she got her dates!  She leaves August 25th and returns September 7th.  Lily will be here on 9/7!!!!!!  I cannot wait to meet her!

I received my first SP5 gift yesterday.  I received some great sock yarn from Knit picks in the color Morning Glory.  I love their sock yarn.  And I received 3 skeins of Shine from Knit Picks in a beautiful Turquoise color and I also received the Yarn Harlot's book!  All great gifts!

My SP said that she has been sick for the last two weeks and I just send special get well wishes to her from me!  I hope she is feeling alot better!

No knitting content today but....

For the last 6 months, I have been in this 18 month weight loss study.  In 6 months I have lost 11 pounds.  BUT....I had to go out and buy new clothes because all of my clothes were too big.  I have lost more inches than pounds!  I am now 4 clothing sizes smaller!!!!!

I am so happy!  I have also promised everyone and their brother that once I hit my target weight I will quit smoking.  I have 27 more pounds to go.

I had a great time last week at the beach.  It was very relaxing.  I ate and drank way too much!  I did not get a lot of knitting in.  I did work on a Blue Heron scarf and got maybe 10 - 15 inches done of it.  That's about it!

I gave my cousin and her husband the blanket last night.  They both loved it very much.  I was so happy that they liked it.

This morning I came into work and my cousin called me asking to meet me this morning briefly.  I met her downstairs and she gave me a gift certificate for a 1 hour massage.  I was so excited!

I have absolutely, finally finished the baby blanket.  YEAH!!!!!!!  If I do say so myself it came out beautifully.  It's all ready to go into the gift box for the baby shower.  If I can figure out how to do it, I wil post a picture of it here.

On another note, as of Friday evening at 5:00 p.m., I am officially on vacation.  On Saturday I hit the beach house for 1 week!!!!!!
