After Thanksgiving
11.28.05 (1:00 pm)   [edit]

Hope everyone had a great Turkey Day!  I did.  Spent Thursday with 20 of my closest family members, and then also Friday night the same people plus some came over for leftovers!  Had a great time!

I finished the scarf for my mother.  She accidentily saw it (not knowing it was hers) and said she liked it alot.  Won't she be surprised!  I am also working on some cotton chenille wash clothes.  I got a great deal on EBAY for some (8 balls of it) in 8 different colors.  I am making up a bunch of different ones to put with soaps as gifts.

One last thing...today is day 11 in the no smoking game!  I have not had a drag or anything!

Later.

Still Not Smoking
11.21.05 (10:56 am)   [edit]
I finished the Afghan for my cousin yesterday.  It came out really nice.  I am also half finished with the birthday scarf for my mom.  I am not really liking it too much.  Not the scarf the yarn itself (Cool Stuff).  I may make her a different one in Chenille.

It has been five days now and I have not had any cigarettes at all.  I cannot believe it.

I may not be able to blog again this week so if I don't Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!!

My Aunt LOVED the scarf!  I am so glad about that.  I am 3/4's done with the Afghan and it is looking pretty good!  I am also 1/4 of the way done on my mother's birthday scarf.

I went to PA this past weekend.  What a long drive!  I had a good time though.

I have not had a cigarette since 10:30 p.m. last night.  It is now 1:51 p.m. the next day.  Please say prayers for me that I can continue to NOT smoke.

See what I mean about not coming up with cute subjects....

I finished the scarf for my Aunt.  I am going to give it to her tomorrow night.  I hope she likes it!  I am halfway done with the afghan for my cousin and I am going to start the scarf for my mother tonight at class.

This weekend I am driving to Pennsylvania to visit a friend of mine.  12 hours of the weekend will be me driving!  Please wish me luck.

I'll update later.

Good Morning Everyone!

Last night I went to knitting night at my LYS.  The sale was unbelievable.  If you spent $50 you got 50% off; if you spent $100 you got 60% off!  Guess how much I spent.....come on guess.....I bought enough to make myself an afghan and a poncho for myself.

I am about 1/4 of the way done with the afghan for my cousin for Christmas.  I bought some Lion Brand Suede in the color of Moonlilies.  I am also 1/2 done with the Cashmerino scarf for my Aunt who gave me the Boyes Interchangeable Needle Set.  I also bought some black Cashmerino to make my cousin a poncho.  She is not getting that until AFTER Christmas though.  I have some Cool Stuff that I have to make a scarf for my mother with.  Her birthday is 12/24.  Too much to do...too little time!

I adopted two soldiers who are stationed in IRAQ.  I made them both helmet liners.  I am getting packages together to send to each of them.  If you have the time, go over to the Soldier's Angels Website and adopt a soldier, even if you just become part of the letter writing team.  These people need letters and such just to let them know we are thinking about them!

Happy weekend and happy knitting!
