No More Depression
I am working on another felted bag for the Fashion Show. This one is a more subdued pink.
Tonight I am going out to hear an AC/DC tribute band that is excellent! I can't wait. A little dancing, a little drinking, a little more drinking...

I am still learning about this new Tblog. Before I start...9 weeks and counting for NO smoking!
The other night I had a couple glasses of wine while I was knitting...BIG mistake...I screwed up my 2nd Magic Sock almost at the end. I have put it aside because A: I feel like an idiot for knitting while drinking and B: I just cannot deal with it at this time.
Has anyone every been out and met someone new and after talking the whole night decided that this person could be the "One"...you know, you just click and have so much in common...and then....the shoe DROPS...MARRIED!!!!! I experienced that this weekend and feel like such a fool. The whole time I was talking with this person I was thinking ...this is perfect, we have so much in common, we like the same things, etc....He told me he thought I was beautiful, then.......BAM! I walked away after saying that, that was too bad that he was married. Then I was depressed until today. I realized that I may never find the "ONE", but who cares.
I have to go now, maybe I am more depressed than I thought. More Later.

TBlog went through this whole change and I cannot figure all of it out yet so please bear with me.
I am almost done on the 2nd Magic Loop Sock. I will probably finish it tonight.
Now, I have a question/favor to ask of people. I am the Chairperson for the Special Olympics RI Fashion Show that is held every year to benefit the summer games. This year, I made a crazy suggestion to our committee members about how we could have the models carry felted bags (small ones, big ones, medium sized ones) to match the Spring fashions and then we could sell them to audience members to generate more money to our cause. (How crazy am I, since I am the only knitter in the bunch!) I have made one so far in Cascade 220 in a bright pink color.
If anyone is interested in making a felted bag and donating it to Special Olympics RI for our fashion show (4/6/06) please comment and let me know. I can provide letters to you as proof that you donated. Thanks and Happy January!
class
Last night I went to a different yarn store for a class. It was a class on pattern reading. I find sometimes that I will look at a pattern and discard it because I do not thoroughly understand it. The teacher was so great! She answered all of my questions in a way that I could completely understand them. I learned so much in one hour, it was totally unbelievable.
I also learned that I was doing YO's incorrectly. The person who taught me, taught me wrong. (No wonder why in some things I had knit it came out wrong!) I also learned to cable last night. Very exciting! Everything clicked last night in a way that it hadn't before!
On another note, I finished my first Magic Loop Sock. It came out so nice. I am still in the learning process of putting pictures on here, so I will do so soon. I started my second sock and it is slowly coming along.
I finished the poncho for my cousin, I just have to fringe it and give it to her!
I also received the name of the person I am going to spoil for SP7. That was exciting! I even know what I am going to send her for month 1.

1. Are you a yarn snob (do you prefer higher quality and/or natural fibers)? Do you avoid Red Heart and Lion Brand? Yes I am, I avoid Red Heart but Lion Brand is not bad.
2. Do you spin? Crochet? I do not do either, but I would love to learn to spin.
3. What do you use to store your needles/hooks in? I have my Boye Interchangeables, which have their own case, otherwise all others are put into a needle holder.
4. How long have you been knitting? Would you consider your skill level to be beginner, intermediate or advanced? I have been knitting for 3 -4 years and I consider myself to be an intermediate knitter.
5. Do you have an Amazon or other online wish list? I do have an Amazon wish list.

7. Do you have a sweet tooth? Favorite candy? I do have a sweet tooth, but I try not to indulge it as I am trying to lose weight.

I hope everyone had a Happy New Year! I myself spent New Year's eve very low key with family at my Aunt's house. It was nice and relaxing!
I am mid poncho for my cousin. I started working on the other half last night and knit until my fingers hurt. I kept saying to myself,"Just one more row, just one more row". How bad is that?
I am still working on my magic loop sock. Having some problems but I will fix them.
