Long Weekend
Hope everyone had a great weekend! I had my cousin's wedding. It was a great wedding and we had a wonderful time! The bride and groom had a grreat time as well which was good. After all that hard work of planning a wedding with a guest list of just over 200 you want to have a good time at your wedding.
I am just about finished with Tricia's Shawl. I have six more rows and then bind off and then add fringe and voila! I cannot wait! I think I am going to do a lace project next. Not sure what but we'll see. I have some nice lace weight yarn from Knitpicks that I have to use.
21 more days until my trip to Europe, I can't wait! I am finally getting excited. Until then, I have a 1st Communion, a Waterfire Party and Father's Day, as well as 3 birthdays then I finally get to leave.
Also, still NO SMOKING!!!!!

Hi All
Still working on the Shawl. I am almost done though, only another 78 more stitches to go! That is all I have on needles right now, can you believe it?
I leave for my trip in 3 weeks. From today as a matter of fact...I am trying to decide what to bring with me to knit. I may try a lace shawl that I just bought a pattern for. Not sure.
One of my young cousins is getting married next Saturday. I cannot believe it. I was only 12 when he was born and now he is 26 years old and getting married.
And last but not least.....6 months and NO SMOKING!!!!!
Secret Pal Stuff
I heard from my Secret Pal the other day, I can't wait to be spoiled! She sounds very nice and caring. She asked me all kinds of questions. I also e-mailed the person I am going to spoil. I already have stuff to be shipped off to her. I am going to mail it some time next week!
Has anyone worked with Debblie Bliss' Pure Silk? It is quite lovely. I am making a dressy scarf with it.

Drunken Knitting
Have you ever knit while drinking or after you've been drinking? This is a VERY VERY VERY bad thing to do!
The other night I went to my Aunt's house for dinner. After some very good food and very good wine (almost a whole bottle of it) a nice Shiraz, I went home and decided to knit some rows on my Tricia's Shawl. BIG BIG BIG mistake!
The next morning I awoke in a haze and looked at my shawl. I almost screamed. I have no idea what in the heck I did but it was bad. I had to rip out about 10 rows! With over 150 stitches on the needles, I was not a happy camper!
I have vowed to never, ever knit again while drinking or after drinking. I even told my roommate that if she saw me pick up my needles with a glass of wine or any alcoholic beverage near me or if she saw me attempting to knit after drinking to please take my needles away from me.

1. What is/are your favorite yarn/s to knit with? What fibers do you absolutely *not* like? I do not like Fun Fur or scratchy wool
2. What do you use to store your needles/hooks in? I mainly use my Denise Needles, but all my straights I put in a Wine Box.
3. How long have you been knitting? Would you consider your skill level to be beginner, intermediate or advanced? I have been knitting for 4 years now and consider myself an intermediate knitter.

8. What kind of music do you like? Can your computer/stereo play MP3s? (if your buddy wants to make you a CD) I love classic rock, R&B, oldies. I do not have an MP3 and my computer does not play them.
9. What's your favorite color? Or--do you have a color family/season/palette you prefer? Any colors you just can't stand? My favorite color is blue -- The only color I cannot stand is orange.
10. What is your family situation? Do you have any pets? I live with a roommate and we do not have pets.
