Knitting with Jazzyfaz

Last Post for Awhile

This will be my last post for awhile because on Monday I finally leave for my trip to Europe.  I will be back on July 4th.  I am getting really excited.  Just 3 days away!  I have a story to tell you though.

Last week I e-mailed the customer service department of Lufthansa Airlines to see if I could bring circular knitting needles on the plane.  They e-mailed me back that they had just changed their policy and that knitting needles of ALL types are now allowed in the cabin.  GREAT!!!!  I knew just the project I would bring with me to knit on the plane.  A nice lace shawl.  I was very excited because that is ALOT of knitting time.....the next day I get a call from Lufthansa Airlines saying that in response to my inquiry regarding knitting needles in the cabin -- they were ALSOLUTELY NOT allowed!

I said to the woman on the other end of the telephone that I had received a response to my inquiry already that due to policy changes I WAS allowed to bring them on the flight.  She told me NO that was incorrect.

So, whom to believe.........I have decided that I WILL take my knitting and also an envelope with postage on it so that if they tell me I cannot take the needles on the flight then I will mail everything home.  Does that sound like a plan to you?

In the meantime, I hope everyone has a great couple weeks and I will see you on the flip side!

Shawl is done!

I finally finished the shawl.  It came very nice and I have taken a picture of it and will get it on the computer shortly.

I started a couple new projects.  I am trying lace out for the first time.  I am making a lace shawl in Lorna's Laces, Helen's Lace - Iris Garden yarn.  It is coming out nicely.  I also started a dog afghan for my cousin's dog.  She wanted me to knit one up badly for her dog Shelby.  And last but not least I have a project in my carryon ready for me to bring to Europe.  Another lace shawl.

My nephew was in an All-star baseball game yesterday and they tied 4-4.  It was very exciting.

That's all for now.  Later.....
