Knitting with Jazzyfaz

It's a pair of socks!

I got a small package from my SP yesterday, a pair of handknit socks!  They are beautiful and she did a great job!  They are very soft and comfy!

My mom is very sick.  She has viral and bacterial pneumonia.  She liked the socks so much that I let her wear them!

Thank you very much SP -- you are the best!

I have some beautiful roving that I do not have to time spin.  If anyone is interested please let me know.  The colors are a deep purple, silver and multi colored.  I believe I have some red as well.  The fiber is Wool and Tencal I think.

SP Strikes Again!

Friday when I got home there was a package waiting for me from my Secret Pal.  It was a great package...I received a ton of great items (all of which will be used).  She made me a sunflower scrubby for the dishes.  and with that came a plain scrubby with a pattern to make my own along with 3 different color cotton yarns to make it with!  I got memo pads and cards (2 sizes) and a journal all sunflower themed along with the best item yet... a teach yourself to crochet kit!  I think I have the best SP!!!!!

Thank you so very much!  Everything is appreciated.

On Saturday, I took my Aunt Claire out for pedicures and lunch!  It was her 76th birthday and we had fun!

More later....

Hello

Hi Everyone,  I have been back for a little over one week and I am still having trouble getting back into the swing of things.  Tonight is my first night back with the knitting girls at Yarns at Lacewings in Warwick, RI.  I have a ton of pictures to show them.  I discovered that I have the first SmartCard that was in my digital camera.  I had to switch it half way through Venice.  So I have pictures of Switzerland, Verona and Venice.  Then one of the people I was with gave me dupes of the rest of the trip.  So I can now make a complete photo album.

I am almost done with the claim form for the trip.  I had all inclusive insurance for the trip and it covers the robbery.  THANK GOD!!!  I can at least get reimbursed for most of the items stolen.  I don't think it covers the cash and euros I had in my bag though.  Only items you have receipts for.

I started knitting again the night I wrote my last post.  I am working on a lace shawl for my mother in some Helen's Lace of Lorna's Laces.  It is coming out nicely.  I have been knitting for 1-2 hours per night when I come home from work.  I want to start a few other projects, but only after I finish this one.

I hope everyone has a great weekend and I'll talk to you next week!

I'm Back!

I'm back!  I had the most awesome time.  Went to Switzerland - beautiful!  People not so much!  Verona, Venice, Florence, Piza - all terrific and beautiful.  Monaco - gorgeous, small.  Nice and Paris - Not so nice.  I got robbed in Nice.  My handbag was stolen with everything in it -- passport, credit cards, driver's license, jewelry, digital camera, money, etc... all gone.  Good thing is I have insurance which will cover everything, bad this is I lost all pictures and my jewelry, which to me is priceless.  Barcelona is o.k.

I have not knitted anything in three weeks!  I am having withdrawals, but I did not take any with me on the trip because of the restrictions on trans-atlantic flights and since I have been back - I have been too tired.

I will share more later - I am too tired right now!
