Belated Birthday Gift
So I got home last night and there was a package waiting for me on my front porch.
I got inside and ripped it open and what did I find? A belated birthday gift from my secret pal! There was all sorts of goodies in the package.......
A pink knitting bag with my name on the front in rhinestones.
3 skeins of Lion Brand Microspun in leaf green with a twisted scarf pattern
4 skeins of Moda-dea Dream in a lovely blue/violet color
Lavender bath tea bags
and two knitting charms -- 1 a pearlescent blue and the other a K scrabble tile
All are wonderful items and will be used! Thank you so much SECRET PAL!!!!!!
Wednesday is Hump Day
Hello folks,
I finished my shrug. It came out pretty good if I do say so myself. I got quite a few compliments on it.
I am still plugging away on the sweater. I almost finished the back when I realized that I was knitting three together instead of purling three together. How stupid am I!!! I had to rip it all out and then start again. It is coming along, now that I realized the error of my ways. My cousin will like it hopefully!
In between working on the sweater, I am also working on some mindless scarves while taking the bus back and forth to work. I did not realize how much I can knit in 30 minutes.
I am almost ready to send out the first package to my Secret Pal. I am so excited. I hope she likes everything.
I still haven't gotten a camera yet. I will get one soon and then shower you with pictures!

Hi All!
Sorry it's been awhile. Lots of stuff happening in October. First of all we moved our offices. What a pain in the butt that was. But all in all it went very well. I love the new space - it gets lots of sunlight.
Next -- I am taking two knitting classes. One is an Aran Sweater and the other is a shrug. The shrug is very easy. I did not even need a class for it. I just didn't realize how easy it was to make. The sweater class is more challenging. I try to work on both every night.
In between those classes -- I have had demonstrations to go to. Last Friday was a Stampin Up demonstration. I am not really into scrapbooking so I wasn't too crazy about this one. Tonight I have a Premier Jewelry Party. There is one item I am interested in buying. A pair of earrings to match a necklace that I bought at a different Premier Jewelry Party. Then on the 27th I am having a Pampered Chef party for my aunt who sells it.
My birthday was October 8th. I turned 38 years old.
All in all it has been and will continue to be a very busy October.

1. What is/are your favorite yarn/s to knit with? What fibers do you absolutely *not* like? I love Merino Wool, Silk, just about anything except fun fur and scratchy wool.
2. What do you use to store your needles/hooks in? I mainly use my Denise Needles, but for everything else I have cases for them.
3. How long have you been knitting & how did you learn? Would you consider your skill level to be beginner, intermediate or advanced? I have been knitting for 4 years and consider myself intermediate.
