Clapotis
Finally
Hi all
I know it's been awhile. I've been busy. Things have been crazy since the Holidays. Hope everyone had a great one! I bought myself a laptop for Christmas and have been trying things out with it. I finally got my digital camera working to the point that I have finally uploaded pictures to Ravelry and my myspace page. I am slowly getting there.
I have been knitting a bunch of stuff as well. I finally made myself the Clapotis. I will post a picture when I get home. I am still working on an afghan for my co-worker and a scarf that I took the pattern from a stitch dictionary. I think the scarf will go into my stash for gift giving when I need one. I also just bought yarn to make a baby blanket for on of the Chicks that's pregnant.
The Special Olympics RI Fashion Show is coming up as well. I have been busy getting ready for that.

PACKAGE!!!
Thank you so much Secret Pal -- you made my weekend!!!!
Another Week
Every Tuesday night 4 of my friends and I get together for what we call "Chicks' Night". Last night we found out that one of our Chicks is having a Chicklet. We were going crazy. So now, I thought I only had one more baby to knit for, but now I have two.
My cousin that is pregnant and is due in April asked me to be in the delivery room with her. I am so excited for this because I will never have a child of my own and this is going to be the greatest experience for me! She finds out the sex of the baby in one week and I can't wait so that I can get cracking on the layette for her.
More later......
Updates
A few updates for you. I finished both socks for myself and even wore them -- they came out in lovely softness.
I finished the Sweater, hat and booties for the first baby. Now I still have to decide what to make for Baby #2.
I started a scarf for myself in Meunch's Touch Me in a great teal color. That is softness as well.
I sent my Secret Pal her 2nd package. She should get it by tomorrow. I can't wait to find out if she likes everything.
That's it.
Gifts
On the knitting front I finished one of my socks and am going to start on the other one tonight.
It's Friday Again
I am now bootless and braceless. I will be in sneakers for quite a while, but at least I can walk better.
I have started to knit myself a pair of socks. I am halfway done with one. I have also started the booties for the baby gift.
Later.

This has been one crazy week. Starting on Sunday - I broke my left foot (which is the good one). So now I am in a boot on the left and a brace on the right!
Knitting wise, I have finished all the pieces to the baby sweater and now I just have to put it together. I also finished the hat last night. So all I have left are the booties. I am excited about that!
My Secret Pal e-mailed me and told me to start loking for a package in the mail! YEAH!!
Stuff
I love this weather. It is beautiful sleeping at night with the windows open and the days are perfect. Not too hot, not too cold.
On the knitting front, I have two babies to knit for. For one, I am knitting a boat neck sweather from one of Debbie Bliss's books and I am going to knit a hat and booties to go with it. For the other one, I have not found anything to knit yet.
Later.

My foot is back in the big boot that it was in after I have my ankle surgery last April. It is still very weak. I have sprained it twice since the surgery. Now I have to have PT and possibly more surgery.
I just sent out my first Secret Pal 11 package. I cannot wait for my secret pal to get it. I hope she likes what I sent her.
On the knitting front I am working on a sweater in Manos Cotton Stria. I am halfway done with the back.
That's all for now!

Hello
So, I finished another shawl and started a different one. This one is a Victorian Lace Shawl. Only a 4 row pattern. Pretty easy. I still have to block all these scarves and shawls that I knitted while recuperating from my foot surgery though. I just haven't felt like it.
I am finally driving again! YEAH!!!! It's nice to look out of my front window and see my car in the driveway.
Later!
Sorry I haven't written in awhile....

Finally A Post!
Sorry I've been away for awhile. Life has been extremely busy lately.
I had a biopsy done on a mole on my stomach. That was benign! Yeah!!! I was very happy about that.
The Special Olympics RI Fashion Show was last Thursday and it was a success. I don't have solid numbers yet, but I do know that the Silent Auction was up :) I even modeled. Can you believe it. I was the Petite Plus Size Model.
This coming Friday (Good Friday) I am having foot surgery. They have to repair a ligament in my right foot. I will be out of work for two-three weeks, but I will be in a stabilizer boot and on crutches for 4-6 weeks. NO DRIVING!!!!! I am going to go nuts. On the other hand just think of all the knitting time I will have! I will try to keep you updated but I may not be able to Blog for a couple weeks.
I sent my Secret Pal her first package today. I hope she likes what I sent to her.
